~~HAPPY NEW YEAR~~

Our traditional New Years Day constists of some yummy food! We always have my mom and step dad over, and watch football and eat. I'd really like to loose some more weight this year, and some how we start off with a family get together. HA!

And of course we had to have some pictures.....................

BLACK EYED PEAS!! I actually am going to start making them more often, I haven't made black eyed peas since this time last year and it seems like that are a hit with everyone.

15 bean cajun soup, one of my favorites for winter time.

Spiral cut brown sugared ham, DELISH!

Don't forget the jalapeno cornbread.

Super Yummy, pistacho pudding! Thanks alot Mom, I've found a new dessert I love. GRRR!!

Daddy eating him so beans and peas.

Nana and Papa and the kiddo's eating New Year's Day dinner.

It was soooo funny, I asked Izaak if he would like some black eyed peas, and he said, " No way, I'm not eating mini eye balls!" Only Izaak!

I'm not really into making New Years resolutions, but I decided I would this year. Alot of times, making them sets me up for failure, but this is a New Year and I am going to succeed!

1. BLOG! I started this blog about 6 months ago, and I really enjoy reading other peoples blogs, but I got "BUSY" with life and didn't take the time to document our life. I WILL this year!! I love looking back at all the exciting and fun things our family does. And since I don't scrapbook, this is perfect!

2. EXERCISE! Doesn't everyone make this New Years resolution? If it's only 15 minutes a day, I am going to make that little bit of time for myself and my health. This past fall, I got up to doing 6 miles 4 times a week, and then I saw that it was taking 2 hours of my day up, so I decided there was better things to do with my 2 hours. I am hoping to make this a FAMILY thing, and since Larry has every piece of equipment we should need in our workout room, we are going to finally put it to good use!!

3. BE ORGANIZED! With a big home and 3 children, I can't seem to stay organized or on top of laundry. But, this YEAR, I am going to do my BEST, to stay on top of things. I feel so stressed when everything isn't in IT'S place, so this is going to be a year that is as stress FREE as possible.

4. GO TO CHURCH! It seems that we get busy and don't take the time to actually go to church. We watch evangelists on TV, and I have my quiet time daily, but to make it a ritual to get up and go on Sunday's, it has always been something I've struggled with. Sunday's are usually the one day that we don't have to do anything. But guess what, that is CHANGING! We will go to church, we will lift our hands, and give God all the glory for the great things he has done for us!

5. And last but not least, I want to be a BETTER WIFE AND MOTHER. 2009 has been a really tough time for our family, the devil has pushed his way in, and we will NOT let him succeed in trying to seperate our family. I want to be the best wife and mother, I can be, and with God by my side, I WILL BE!

May you have a blessed and prosperous New Year!
