Back 2 School

NEW SCHOOL YEAR AND NEW SCHOOL..........

That's enough to make this momma a basket case!

My babies are growing up, and it is so hard as a mom to let it happen. I want to keep them under my wing, protect them, and hover over them. BUT, this is life and it kills me to do this, but I have to let go and try to raise them with morals and values with the time that they are at home.

Izaak started 2nd Grade this year. Goodness, has this little guy grown so fast. He is such a joy and so special, there is not an hour goes by in the day that he doesn't make me smile or laugh.....seeing life through his eyes is exciting!

Chloe started Kindgarten. I kept it together, until she started to tear up, and wanted to go back home with mommy and daddy. Once a couple of little girls wanted to go down the big slide with her, she forgot all about us. And when I picked her up from school, she said that she loved her new school.

Natalie started 5th Grade today. She was so excited to get away from me I think. Since I had homeschooled her since January, she was soooo ready to have a "real" teacher, and to be around kids her age. I totally agree with her, she loves to be social, but when we took her out of private school we did what we thought was best for her at the time. Natalie is the most caring, sweet little girl I know. Today she had a good day and made a few friends, and I'm just praying and believing for favor for the right type of friends, who will complement my sweet baby girl!

As a mom, this had to be one of the hardest days that I have had in a long time. After, always having the kids in a private Christian school where I knew some of the people, this was a HUGE change! Going to a small public school, where we didn't know a soul. I know the kids will take a little bit of adjusting, but I want everything to always be a bed of roses for them, and I know that they have to go through this thing called life. Ok, so I'm struggling terribly.....I sure hope tomorrow will bring my precious children a GREAT day filled with joy!!!
